it prevents the heat of the apparatus directly.
the circle thing on the wire gauze ensures that the heat is spread everywhere
First you have to pop off the trim piece around the base of the gear shifter.
Second, you unscrew the 2 screws at the base of the trim piece around the stereo, the 2 screws near the top of the trim piece and the screw behind the ash tray.
Third, pop off the trim piece by prying it was from the dash board.
Fourth, disconnect the lighter/12v power source
Fifth, unscrew the mounting brackets
Sixth, unplug the wiring harness and antenna.
ok man this is gonna take awhile i havent worked on a 200 yet but iv worked on a 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999 and, 2005. first you need the size of the speekers and make sure they are correct. the back ones are easy. open the trunk reach up and under find the screws and un screw them. DONT DROP IT. un clip the speeker clip that attaches the r. l. to it and switch out the speakers. the doors are harder i need to see it to do it sorry!
you need a small flat head screwdriver, a 10 millimeter socket (asmall extension helps), and if you want a small flat head screwdriver for removing all the little push clips.
