Kung-Fu and then many other follows.
Business casual for men used to wearing a suit and tie to work might be a jacket or blazer and slacks, with or without a tie. Keep colors conservative: dark blues and grays or blacks are appropriate. Keep the Don Johnson pastel jacket with the rolled-up sleeves in the closet For women it's bit harder, but perhaps a dark knee-length skirt and blouse with jacket would fit the bill.
The concept of the "Other" is related to the ways that individuals or groups define the positive aspects of their existence by the ways in which they differ from individual or group. These "positive aspects" (which are often not inherently positive but only positive because the individual or group has valued them as such) can be economic class, race, religion, physical appearance, etc. The concept is probably too complex to explain here, but here's a very informative web page about it: http://www.cwrl.utexas.edu/~ulrich/rww03/othering.htm
