It means that it is time for a new ignition switch. The dealer is the most likely (and usually the most expensive) source. You might also try a junkyard. Drew
There is no diagnostic port for cars before 1996 and up due to OBD 1, however if you pull the carpet back on the passenger floorboard, the computer has LED's that you can use to diagnose the problem. just count the number of times the light flashes
great but , yes imports do have them before OBD I LX and SE are usually located on top the fuse box on the driver side. Its a specific Honda connector tho, so itll do yu kno good. On latter Se and EX there was one there and also under the kick bolster
1993 Accord has a two-prong connector behind the passenger footwell kick panel (blue or white connector). Short this with a thin paper clip or cotter pin and turn on the ign switch. the check engine light will flash out your codes. 94-97 Accords have this connector neatly clipped directly under the glove box and the connector is blue. (94-97 also has OBD-II port behind ashtray)
The antenna motor is located behind the driver side kick panel.
The same thing just happened to me last night. Did either of you find out what the problem was? Was it the alternator?
The same thing happened to me today in a 2000 Accord V6. Did you ever find out what the problem was? MB It sounds like a short from run to start in the ignition switch or wiring. jb Have your alternator checked.. this is the standard behavior for the accord when the charging system isn't working.. also factory radio will shut off to conserve available power as the battery starts to drain.
