The first noticeable effect is usually a negative one, the period which does not begin when it should. The egg would have been fertilized about two weeks prior to that expected period, and implanted in her uterus a couple of days after fertilization. Usually, but not always, she would not yet have noticed some of the other telltale signs, nausea, lightheadedness and such, which may or may not come shortly afterward. What effects she feels, the intensity, and the duration of them can vary greatly from hardly any to debilitating.
