Fuel efficiency determines how much useful energy you get out of each unit of fuel.
If fuel efficiency drops you have to use more fuel to get the same job done. And fuel cost money, so you'll also have to pay more to get the same job done.
And burning fossil fuels contributes to pollution, so with poorer fuel efficiency you have to put up with more pollution being released for thesame amount of useful work being done.
1st off if u.r. trying to remove the actual freon technically and enviromentally speaking this should be done using the proper recovery equipment of which the average backyarder doesn't own... but it is removed from the shrader valve located either in the plumbing itself or on the dryer.2nd if u.r. only have a condensation/dripping water concern there should be a small usually rubber drainhose somewhere(near th bottom for obvious reasons) in the heater box on firewall.
TAKE IT TO A GARAGE AND LET THEM INSTALL IT FOR YOU. BRING THE # 1 PISTON TO T.D.I. ( TOP DEAD CENTER )
