The main reason that conscription was introduced in World War 2 was mostly because of how many soldiers died in WW2. Also, people realized that Hitler was committing mass genocide. The seven million innocent Jewish people that Hitler killed, were more than enough to silence those who disagreed with conscription.

According to me the Germans lost the most land post in WW1 because in the end the central powers were defeated by the allied powers which had been consisted of Russia Italy France England USA & Japan.
America was trying not to get involved in WW2 if they didn't need to . America was trying to keep peace with the countries that they could. America entered the war because Japan bombed us, we didn't go out and attack anyone before this. I am sure the U.S. would have eventually got into the war, but Japan gave us no other option.
