Zues was the son of Gaia god of Earth and Cronos, god of time, he would eat every child that Gaia produced for him because he had a fear that one of his sons would overthrow him. He had this fear for he killed his father with a sickle and as his father died he cursed Cronos that he would suffer the same fate as he did, and his son would kill him, just like Cronos had killed him.
Eventually Gaia hid her pregnancy and gave birth inside of a cave letting nymphs take care of Zues. When Cronos asked Gais for her son she gave him a rock instead which he ate and out came all of his sons and daughters which he had eaten. Ofcourse they were all perfectly alive and well and eventually with the help of Zues defeated ronos in the battle of the gods.
the famed sculptor Phidias built the statue in 435 BC.
On Mt Olympus though some did live in other realms such as Poseidon who lived in the sea greek gods are cool
it is possible.
but don't go and try it because most of the time it wont turn out good, you can be seriously injured or death can occur. on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, it shows a old woman whom cant walk. one day she got hit by lightnight, and she could run faster than us.
if you did develope 'powers' they will be slight. changes in the mind, such as psycic or emotional abilities that allow you to connect with "your element" (which in books of palm reading you can figure out which element you are)
bu there is other ways to develope slight inhuman power mutations, such as i am an earth elemental being, i follow rituals to get me emotionally attached to my element.
a quick, yet powerful, ray of light can sometimes even change your element to fire if it isn't already. although you were born different, it can change and so can you. lightning may effect your personality as well, hence your personaly because your a whole other elementt, you like whole other things.
yes, you can develope "powers" after getting hit by lightning but i wouldn't suggest going out and standing in the middle of a thunder storm..
